Platinum-selling rapper Young Jeezy has been arrested during an investigation into a fatal shooting at a rap concert in Silicon Valley

Platinum-selling rapper Young Jeezy has been arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal firearms during an investigation into a fatal shooting at a rap concert in Silicon Valley, authorities said.”Jeezy’s Bodyguard Responsible For Murder” says rapper “Wiz khalifa” according to statements from “khalifa & jeezy”

The Atlanta-based rapper, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, was taken into custody Sunday by detectives along with five other people while executing a search warrant at the Verizon Amphitheatre in Irvine, Mountain View police spokesman Sgt. Saul Jaeger said Monday. They were taken to the Orange County jail.

The arrests come after Eric Johnson, 38, of Orinda was shot and killed while backstage at the “Under the Influence of Music” concert Jeezy co-headlined with fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on Friday.

Jeezy’s bodyguard reportedly shot 38 year old concert promoter and owner of “Full Pull Entertainment” record label Eric “E World” Johnson, five times backstage at a Wiz Khalifa concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View California, on Friday night.

An insider is saying Eric Johnson was backstage talking to Jeezy’s bodyguard about the after party that he booked for the rapper in San Jose, and Jezzy’s bodyguard took it to the next level by screaming and demanding money upfront from Eric Johnson before he murdered him.

Insider went on to say Jezzy never performed that night and his bodyguard is now in hiding. Know why? Because according to our source the streets are looking for Jeezy and his bodyguard.

Here’s the drop:

“E never got his props for discovering Keyshia Cole, he gave back to people in Oakland. He was loved and is going to be missed by many.

Jeezy and his bodyguard can’t hide forever.”

Cops have launched a manhunt for rapper Joe Budden, who is accused of assaulting and robbing his model ex-girlfriend in Washington Heights.

Police released a picture of Budden, 33, as they continued their search for the “Pump It Up” hip-hop star and one-time Def Jam recording artist in connection with the attack earlier this week.

Budden allegedly drove up to a restaurant near Nagle Ave. and Dyckman St. at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, grabbed his ex and forced her into his car.

As the two argued, Budden stole her cell phone and twisted her arm, officials said.

He then took her to his New Jersey home, where the attack allegedly continued.

His ex ultimately escaped and called police.

Friends of the victim told that Budden had slammed his ex-girlfriend’s head into the dashboard. The BEATDOWN has been compared to Chris Brown’s savage attack on megastar Rihanna in 2009.

But cop sources said that, according to their paperwork, Budden did nothing more than twist the woman’s arm.

The rapper reportedly flew into a rage after seeing Instagram pictures of his ex-girlfriend clubbing with other men. The woman had broken up with Budden because he was “cheating and hooking up with strippers,” a friend told

The wanted man is hiding in plain sight on social media: He fired off more than 15 tweets on Friday — claiming New Jersey cops had been in contact with him.

“Cops searched my house today cuz shorty told them I had guns here,” he wrote. “He said ‘wanna tell me why u have a bullet proof vest?’.. Lmao/smh.”

He then posted a picture of himself sitting on a street curb surrounded by three dogs with the words “I’m guarded … Literally.”

“The lesson to be learned here is … Leave the strippers & bartenders in the strip club … sounds so simple !” he also wrote.

V.M.A Party Shooting Cops Focusing CHRIS BROWN & SUGE KNIGHT POSSIBLE Gang Rivalry as Motive

Cops are focusing on beef between gang members that triggered the nightclub shooting that landed Suge Knight in an ICU with multiple bullet wounds … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We’re told cops are interested in a common denominator with Chris Brown, Suge and Game — Bloods affiliation.

Eyewitnesses tell us Brown was throwing up gang signs before the shooting inside 1OAK early Sunday and he was performing with a red bandana — the Bloods’ moniker.

Game — who got in a fight outside 1OAK before the shooting because they wouldn’t let him in — is a known and proud member of the Bloods.  His album is called Blood Money.

As for Suge … one of the most notorious things about him is his Bloods affiliation.

And we know … cops are interested in this — there were several known gang bangers surrounding Chris at the time of the shooting.

This could all be problematic for Brown …. He’s still on probation in the Rihanna beating case, and hanging with gang members and throwing gang signs is not going to impress the judge.

He shot down rumors that the problems are the result of infidelity on his part and added that his children come first, no matter what he and the Grammy winner plan to do with their relationship.

“My main focus is my kids,” he added.

Cannon, 33, and Carey, 44, married in 2008 and welcomed fraternal twins in 2011 — daughter Monroe and son Moroccan.

This past May, the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary and around that time, he addressed the rumors to Parade magazine, and took a much different tone, saying there was no issue in the marriage.

“You kind of have to ignore it because every week it’s something different, and if you paid attention to it, it actually probably would start really affecting you,” he added. “It’s kind of humorous, really. It couldn’t be further off from the truth, and it really affects the credibility of the so-called newspapers.”

Carey’s publicist told ABC News, “I am not commenting on Mariah’s personal life but Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour.”

The curtain will fall “TODAY “Thursday for rapper Shyheim Franklin

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The curtain will fall Thursday for rapper Shyheim Franklin.

The Wu-Tang clan cohort is scheduled to be sentenced in state Supreme Court, St. George, for two crimes: Causing a fatal New Year’s Day hit-and-run wreck in New Brighton that claimed a bakery worker’s life and possessing a gun in an unrelated incident.

Last month, Franklin, 36, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter stemming from the Jan. 1 death of Felipe Avila Olea.

Prosecutors allege the defendant was speeding and blew through a stop sign before slamming into Avila Olea’s 1996 Toyota Celica at 5:07 a.m. on Lafayette Avenue.

Franklin had been traveling on Cassidy Place and Avila Olea, 29, was Richmond Terrace-bound on Lafayette, headed to his job at the Rosamaria Bakery on Vreeland Avenue in Port Richmond.

Afterward, Franklin had angered the victim’s family when he took to YouTube in a bid to raise cash to fight the charges against him.

The defendant also pleaded guilty to a weapon-possession charge stemming from an April 19, 2013, arrest in which cops found a loaded gun and drugs in his apartment.

Both pleas were to the top counts against Franklin in separate indictments.

Under his agreement, he’ll be sentenced to four and two-thirds to 14 years for his manslaughter plea. The maximum is five to 15 years.

Franklin will also receive a concurrent term of seven years for the gun conviction. In addition, he’s subject to five years’ post release supervision.

Assistant District Adam Silberlight is prosecuting the case.
